twowheeler Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 hi there I'm keen on getting some rental advice! I'm coming out to Sydney, Newcastle, Hunter & Blue Mountains for a wedding in Sept. Here in the UK it's possible to rent old classic cars, I was wondering if any of you could recommend any options or garages in the Sydney area? Also what should we be be paying? Ideally we'd rent a Z for 1-2 weeks. I'd consider pretty much anything that isn't german that has 2 seats that is loud and fun! Any recommendations or don't dos much appreciated (oh and I will mention the cricket so you don't have to!). thx alex ps does anyone knows how much it'd cost to ship back to the UK - based on looking at some of the classified just now I'd be tempted to buy something to add to my limey fleet! Whoray Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Hi Alex, We are going to UK in July for 4 weeks. Can you recommend any hire co that will hire classic cars at a reasonable rate. Prefer open top. Ron Quote
chev z Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Good luck with your Aussie car selection, I personally would recommend broadening your options to include IRISH and BANGLADESH vehicles ,they apparently build them to withstand harsher environments [pressure ] than the UK equivalent...lol..."Don't mention the war"....errrrrr..cricket Quote
luvemfast Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Where have you been hiding Steve? Finished the V8 conversion yet? At least he some manners Simmon I put the MAN in manners Bruce! Quote
chev z Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 I realise I"M chatting off subject ,V8 has finally had the guards cut and is presently recieving a wheel alignment [ prelim. ] ,of course that means the tie rods need to be modified[extended ] ,then the IMSA guards fibreglassed on / painted and I can finally test run on track Quote
