George Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 My water pump has stopped working. I've plugged in a fan and the lead has power so it must be the actual water pump. How do you test it with a multimeter? Am I looking for a consistent resistance? Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted August 9, 2009 Moderators Posted August 9, 2009 Is it easy to remove from the car to check? usually anything with an electric motor, you can feel if it works; If you stick a multimeter across the leads you will just measure its resistance in the windings. Check it anyway but to make sure, I'd remove it and test. Quote
George Posted August 9, 2009 Author Posted August 9, 2009 I removed it and had a look inside. One of the wires had come off the solder. All good now. Cheers. Quote
