Discuss new Bank Account

Hi since the other link is locked I thought some people might like to discuss or share their ideas on how best to run the Clubs new bank account. I am open to suggestions.

I take it you are the focal point / take care of the coin and or Club Secretary @ monetary issues / Business / sponsorships etc.....

 

So you would be the sole signatory or is a co signatory....

 

What is the account used for and what benefits are derived from this account..

I thought I'd also just chime in. We probably should have made some mention that Craig has been taking care of the financials of our events in Vic for some time now and although we try and keep the site fairly easy going as far as official titles go I suppose you could call Craig our "Club Secretary @ monetary issues" as you have put it. Craig had a similar role at the NDSOC for a time and works in a financial role so it makes sense having someone with that background and his level of motivation and commitment to this site as many of our Vic members would know.

 

Please keep in mind that this focus is on the Victorian side of things as we are trying to keep up regular events like overnight cruises (ie Thredbo and Grampians coming up), our regular meetings which we normally cater for and in some instances venue hire like the Jag Club meeting coming up in two weeks. We want to keep this as simple and transparent as possible hence this thread and the on going updates everyone will see. Our focus is to just keep enough funds going to ensure we can have regular events without relying on a few people funding them every time we might need some coin as we have been in many past instances.

 

Interstaters might be thinking about what they can do and I know alot of the state mods have been really good in organising get togethers. I think that would be something to be discussed in another thread though.
