What is the cheapest way to get some rear – camber?

Adjustable rear lower control arms?

probably some adjustable camber bushes, i think whiteline has them for the z.

How much do you want?

When you lower a Zed you get a fairly decent amount of Neg. camber anyway...

The only other way is Adj. lower wishbones.

I have been looking at putting some adjustable front end camber in my 260z 2+2. They are the type that you cut out the original strut mounting and weld camber adjusters in place but they can only be used with coil over shockers.

But what i was thinking of doing was seeing if the same sort of kit could be adapted to fit into the rear of the 260z.

 

Has anyone heard of this being done or any thoughts on what may be a problem with it???????

Yes, you can do the camber plate modification on the rear as well. Why would you want to though?

Rear camber is far less critical than the front.

 

FWIW, the only reason you would need to do this on the front, is to be able to adjust the camber at the racetrack without upsetting the toe.

On the rear it's no where near as critical.

I guess im just being picky when it all boils down to it but i do like have the adjustment there if i need it and iy would be fun for track days.

 

Not to mention it will give my wheel alignment mate a head ache

I have the Techno Toy Tuning ones all round.  They are really good, but whilst quite cheap to purchase, not cheap to have installed.  Chris (and Adam Highams)at Inline steering did mine, so I know people with experience in installing them if you need.

So did you have any problems finding shocks that fit the camber tops and what sort of cost where involved

Well, yeah. This is where it gets expensive.  They got a machinist to make up tops to bolt it up.  For the rears, I had custom Bilsteins made up, but that was due to a mismatch somewhere (probly my fault). If you are prepared to spend a bit of money and you want as much adjustment as you can, well its a good option, but I really dont think its worth otherwise for the cost.  If you can do it yourself, it wont cost much at all really.

Thanks for the info im thinking of calling fulcrum with the specs of what i need the shockers to be to see if they can do it.

If not i will call sydney shockers and get them to make up a set of bilstiens for me and in the respect of the camber tops i have some old work mates that are great welders and should be able to weld it up for me.
