Help to ID our 1971 240Z past

Thank you for allowing me to speak on this forum.

I have attached some photos of the vehicle when we 1^st received it in Cairns, 2 years ago.

Original colour, L26 fitted.

Car was deregistered April 2004

Old rego No: NSW  AOF19Z

Vin: HS30-01395

We believe original owner was from the Blue Mountains area.

There is a “signature” under the bonnet, see pic, no idea who’s, but could be a clue.

 

I was hoping if yourself or any members of this forum could shed any light or share any info on her past.

Ultimately would like to find the original engine and books for her ( being wishful )

Plus those small missing trim parts

Interesting car, I wonder if the 1991 signature was for the Nissan / Datsun Nationals event back then and perhaps it won an award?

Is a very honest original body and interior
Has been repainted at some stage no signs of major accident damage has 260z motor other than that car is complete and unmolested original seats and interior, note centre console is damaged, original instruments and cluster
Car runs and drives but will need brakes serviced and front bushes replaced before driving new neoprene bushes come with car to complete front end
Has originals spare wheel cover And I believe spare wheel
Could put on club plates and drive as is carry out rolling resto or a great basis for your own interpretation of the classic 240z
