Jospef Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Welcome, Alex. So, how do you like the zed? Quote
alexHXC Posted November 1, 2008 Author Posted November 1, 2008 deffo my fave of the z's even though thers not much difference between the 240 n 260 jus the engine i believe? 240s jus i duno cooler? always been said the first is always 1 of the best. jus like mk1 golfs haha. are parts still availiable? panels etc or is it a case of an ebay search? Quote
sco_aus Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Welcome. Get them anywhere you can. I find the US has been really good, but with the recent dollar going to the shit house thing, well, i have put off getting any parts from there. Quote
Jospef Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Ya, engine, couple more seats in some models, and maybe the tail lights are a tiny bit different? Only real enthusiasts can spot the rest of the differences (and all the guys off this forum, haha). I'll have to disagree with you on that coolness statement though. I like the 260's better . Quote
Jospef Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 How does the RB go in your zed, Sco? I'd love to see it in action . Quote
sco_aus Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 It goes very very well. Easily makes 250rwkw and with the recent addition of semi slicks, it has the traction to match Have a look at "The long" story in my signature, give a bit more of an idea mate. Quote
Jospef Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Sounds pretty crazy, haha. I'll check it out. I want to throw a 20 or a 25 n/a in mine. Probably in the very distant future, heh. Quote
alexHXC Posted November 1, 2008 Author Posted November 1, 2008 haha cool. do you get retro cars mag in aus? ther was a 260z with a 200sx engine in bloody amazing! im 22 btw most lads my age drive boring cars! round here anyway! is it a big scene in aus then? Quote
sco_aus Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 I can't say I have seen the magazine, but I dont really read much. The car scene is pretty reasonable in most cities I reckon. Jospef, an NA would be pretty good, but you will have to do a fair bit of work to get it really humming. But if your not after heaps of power then its not a bad way to go. sorry to hijack your thread Alex Quote
Jospef Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Well, if I do the conversion once I'm on my opens then we'll see what happens. I'm hoping to keep this car forever, just see how long I can wait. Car scene isn't too bad here, mate. Lots and lots of imports. Silvia's EVERYWHERE, haha. All of my mats are cruising around in silvo's, skyline's and commodores (the Voxel off Topgear, haha). Was it an SR20 conversion or something? They're pretty decent from what I've seen. Quote
alexHXC Posted November 1, 2008 Author Posted November 1, 2008 carry on mate more the merrier haha! Quote
sydney mike Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Yeh, 260s rule Yep, I'll second that, or third that ! Welcome Alex. Hopefully the Zed will grow on you like the VW's. What is it with VW's and Zeds? First we had William (ZD44TT) with his 260Z and MkI Golf (sold the WRONG car I reckon) and also Brabham with his 260Z and also MkI Golf! Quote
sco_aus Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 William actually sold his zed? He didn't tell me!! I have seen his MK1, it was a pretty cool little car, but still no zed. Quote
Mr240z Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Go the 260,s that cause you dont have a 240z (only joking)(not) Hey george Whats a "sydney" See you guys tomorrow Quote
