DaveDimo Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 hey guys i got a 7/74 260z 2+2 and i just got a hazard light switch sent over from the states. it fits in the console and looks the part but i have a bit of a problem as in i got no where to plug it into. i thought there would be a place to plug it into because it comes with a 7 pin male end of a plug and i assumed there would just be the other end under the dash but there isnt... do i have to wire it myself or is it there in a magic land under the dash. Moderators Zedman240® Posted October 28, 2008 Moderators Posted October 28, 2008 There is a spot for it; look for a bunch of green wires (I think 5 from memory) with a white plug with a green loop of wire. Remove that and if the hazard switch is off a zed, it should plug straight in and work. Don't forget to add a another flasher can near where your fusebox is. Without that, even with your hazard switch they won't work. Sorry I can't get you pics yet; I don't have access to a 260Z! Quote
maddos Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 I'm not so certain you have the wiring. I know my 1/75 260 if it doesn't have the hazard switch plugged in I get no blinkers at all. Many times have i taken for test drive with console out and realise down the road have no indicators. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted October 28, 2008 Moderators Posted October 28, 2008 Maddos, if you unplug the hazard light switch and don't plug in that small plug with the wire loop, indicators won't work. All zeds have the wiring for a hazard switch. Quote
stevo_gj Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 Having just been mucking around with my own wiring I can confirm that my car has that loop (75 260 2 seater) Quote
