Wide wheels? Street Legal

Hey there fellow Z fans, Just wondering how street legal are wide wheels with flares? Will they pass a roadworthy in Victoria and do the Cops give you a hard time out on the street? Kev

Hi Mouse,

 

I've got 255's on the rear with ZG flares. No copper has pulled me over to date. Most people that run ZG's with 16" Watanabes tend to run 225 fronts with 245 rears. There is a member here with a RB25DET motor, Ben, username Mayhem, tht has been pulled over by the police a few times o check out his car. From memory he never mentioned anything about wheels and tyres being an issue as they were picking on other areas of the car, silly stuff like non standard steering wheel. Anyhow he runs 245's at the rear frm memory with ZG's, very nice car. Look in the galleries.

Hi there Sulio, No I dont own that car. Im just putting together a rough 73 240z for the street and trying to stop another one of these great cars from being melted down and turned into a Kia Rio!
