chris240 Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 after looking at the schmick blue zed currently on carsales , Im wondering has anybody ever done or seen tripple Su's / hitachis...where would you get a manifold from ? would the setup work reasonably well say for a stockish L24 ? or am I better off spending a bit more to go for tripple 40mm's Dels or Webs.. Its just that my L24 has a pair of pommy Su's less than a year old with less than 1000kms on them...seems a shame not to re-use them. Tripple Su's seem to be rare on zeds. any thoughts.. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted October 12, 2008 Moderators Posted October 12, 2008 A member on this forum has setup triple SU's on a L28 with good results (Dazzed). He has sold them a while ago but I know who he has sold them to. I can get a pic if you want to see how it was setup. You would have to make your own manifold as they don't exist for the L series (Iv'e never heard of them!). this one was made from mild steel tubing and plate. Quote
warrenz Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 There has been some discussion on this subject on Classic Z Cars. Seems there is quite a bit of fabrication needed to get this up and running. Certainly triple side draught carby's would be a lot less messing around. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28753&highlight=triple+su%27s Warren Quote
