Just a reminder of the up-coming Classic Japanese Show and Shine to be held 5th October 2008 (This Sunday) at Strathpine.

Oct 11 Lakeside Sprints

 

Another round of sprints will be held at Lakeside on Oct 11. The last round was thoroughly enjoyed by those who attended. If you do intend to compete you will need to register now. To anybody going along on the day make sure to take your own drinking water, shade and sunscreen because there are none available at the track and once inside the track you can't leave. Oct 12 Weekend Club Run to Mudjimba

 

One of our members is coordinating an informal club run up to Mudjimba beach on the Sunshine Coast. The run is a club run so anybody with club registration can go along. The details are still being finalised but members will meet at the Carseldine Caltex early Sunday morning before heading up to Mudjimba for a swim and maybe a casual lunch. Once the details are finalised another Email will be sent advising of the meeting time, route to be taken, exact destination etc.

 

Oct 26 Annual General Meeting

 

This year’s AGM will follow the same format as last year .

All memberships cease on November 30 each year so the AGM is the perfect opportunity to renew for 2009.

Members are asked to renew their membership prior to 9.45 on Saturday to be able to vote. (only financial members are permitted to vote). Full year memberships are the same as last year ($60 for single membership and $70 for family memberships).

Please note that lapsed members will be excluded from club communication at the end of February. If lapsed members have still not renewed in March their membership will be terminated. The club regrets having to implement such strict measures but it is in response to the reluctance of past members to formally resign.

Members are invited to attend a breakfast and/or coffee at Luv a Coffee

Sunday 26th of October from 8.30 am

 

If you intend to have more than just coffee get there early to ensure you are finished before the AGM begins.

 

The AGM

 

After breakfast members are asked to attend the formal part of the AGM at the Z Car Workshop.

Z Car Workshop, 14 Kenway Drive, Underwood.

The meeting will commence at 9.45 Sunday 26th of October

It would be appreciated if you can bring a few folding chairs.

We will be providing a thorough update on progress towards NDN09

The committee roles that will be voted on are:

· Club president.

· Vice-president.

· Secretary.

· Treasurer.

· Editor.

· Membership secretary.

· Multimedia officer.

· Merchandising officer.

· General committee members.

Being a committee member is a challenging but rewarding commitment. The club will always benefit from having fresh involvement. We can’t always rely on the same people year after year so please consider stepping up and playing a part. Don’t be concerned about pushing someone out of a role as there are plenty to go around.

October monthly meeting cancelled due to the AGM

 

Because the date of the AGM falls so close to the last Thursday of Oct the committee has decided to cancel the October monthly meeting.

Anybody who submitted an expression of interest in participating at NDN09 should now have received their registration form. We are now sending this reminder to all our club members.

We are already receiving registrations and deposits for the event. Competition places at NDN09 are filling fast and there are limited numbers so get your registration in now otherwise they'll be full of Mexicans. The registration form and instructions are attached.
