Zeddophile Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 pity its not subtitled.... I think there is an arcade game based off that movie, because there is one which is mountain racing in Japan, and there is a Blue S30 you see all through the demo loop, which is referred to in the game as the Devil Zed. Administrators gav240z Posted December 11, 2005 Administrators Posted December 11, 2005 I want to download this but having trouble with my d/l manager at the moment. I'm wondering what codec it uses? Quote
Zeddophile Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 divx i believe. wouldn't run in media player, but runs in divx player Quote
Mr Camouflage Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Yeah there are a few games based on the Wangan Midnight comics/cartoons. Theres a Wangan Midnight game for the PS2, and there are the Initial D arcade games that feature the same wangan midnight 240z. And for those that dont know I believe that Wangan means bayside or oceanside. I think theres a long stretch of road or bridge that runs along a bay somewhere in Japan. Something to do with street racers racing along the road at night. somthing like that. Is this a anime move, or real actors? I read somewher about a movie being made, but the car they used was a 260Z instrad of a 240Z like in the anime. Wish I still had broadband. Got my bro DL'ing it for me. Now we just need some fansubs to subtitle it for us. Quote
Mr Camouflage Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 P.S. Heres the video that I think comes from the playstation game. Think its the intro or something. http://www.pape.ws/allan_and_rosanne/Z-Car_Stuff/Darius/Daruis-Video/wangan.mpeg (12megs) Quote
Zeddophile Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 This is a real actors movie, but from what I can find on the net, it precedes the manga? at the end, the footage of the actors at the premiere is timestamped '92, the manga apparently started in '93? Quote
Mr Camouflage Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Watched it. Recognised the word "blackbird" (thats what they called the porsche), and a couple of japanese phrases here and there. I believe it originally started as a comic book back in the 80's. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted December 20, 2005 Administrators Posted December 20, 2005 It was a funny movie alright lol.. gotta love the Japanese fill in music. I love the tripple webers and turbo combo what a beast lol. Quote
Mr Camouflage Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Maybe i wasnt paying enough attention, but i didnt notice any turbos. Might have to watch it again. I've wached the daytime drive part a few times. Quote
