I was reading the post about stickers and looking for a side on image of a 240Z to possibly come up with a design, sort of like the civic eg6 club:

Then I came across this, a V12 240Z! I never heard of an engine conversion like that before!

Btw I really love the front end treatment, it looks like an old european car from the 50-60's I forgot what they're called I think an OSCA, sorta looks like an Iso Griffo as well.

Here's the link

On a personal note, I will maybe wait one more month for a zed otherwise buy something else because I still haven't got a car, the Barina is a write off, insurance is taking 5 months to pay and I haven't been on the road since that guy ran a red light and hit me 5 months ago!

Yeah I saw an instal on one in the States. I am not really sure why you would do it apart from wanting to be different.

As that car is 380hp, you could get heaps more HP out of a Chev for less money and more reliability. Apart from the the engine being so big and heavy it over hangs the steering rack making the car handle badly. With a Chev not being so long you can move it back and get the same weight on all 4 wheels.

But maybe I am biased??  :)

Fantastic, I didn't think you would be able to fit a v12 in there but he did it.  Looks great, and from an engineering perspective would be a good project car.

But I agree with Craig, for the power he is getting and extra weight added there are a number of other options that might have been a bit easier  - RB26, boosted L28  ;D

But he has gota be commended on the effort though, ended up with something quite unique.

I was thinking about doing this at one stage, there was a Jag v12 going very cheap at the time.  If you check hybrid Z, quite a few guys have jammed a BMW v10 in there as well.

Nice engineering to get the V12 to fit, but I have to ask, why would you jump backwards 50 years in technology to replace the Z rear end with a transverse leaf Corvette piece of crap rear end????? :o :-\
