GK510 Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 While doing some front end repairs I decided to have a look at the bearings in the strut tops to see how they were. One side was almost seized so thought I'd better replace them while the struts were out. I believe the genuine part is still available as the same bearing was used in some Nissan models into the early 2000's. Nissan didn't have any in stock locally, so I tracked down some aftermarket alternatives. Thought I'd post the aftermarket part number here for reference. And while I'm not 100% sure, I'd say the bearing is most likely the same across all S30's. Nissan part number - 54325-21000 NSK - TAG28Z-1B Quote

GK510 Posted June 10, 2016 Author Posted June 10, 2016 To be honest, I'm not sure. I didn't get a price on a genuine one after I was told they didn't have any. But like most purchases direct from bearing suppliers, I'd say they would most likely be cheaper. These cost me $20 each so pretty reasonable for a quality brand bearing. Just looking online, genuine they're listed at about $40US each. There's various types on eBay from O/S ranging from $15 for no name versions and up to $75 for brand name versions. Quote
