nat0_240_chevZ Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Hi i have a N42 head and a E88 head to go on a L26 im going to put 3 dollto on it which head is better and why? N42, bigger valves (than early e88) , hardened valve seats, have the perfect chamber shape for hp, just need to shave he pants off it if using dished pistons, or 1-1.5mm if using flat tops, oh and try som someder singh gooves (google it) to increase compression turbulance. ready for ULP (lead free petrol of any sort) newer, ie less overall wear/use (hopefully). better materials being newer. plentifull supply as the 280zx had em. should i keep going??? PS if using carbies, plug up the injector notch to reduce intake charge turbulating prior to getting past the valve seat, by either welding or epoxy resin. cheers nato Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted March 12, 2008 Moderators Posted March 12, 2008 I know I'm getting excellent results with a N42 head. I managed 150+Kw at the wheels with one. Had a P90 for a while sitting around so I hocked it off on ebay. I guess any cylinder head you throw money at should flow..The triple combo should get some more hp as well. Quote
