On the new build I want to drill and pin the drive gear on the dizzy to oil pump. Are the steel-steel types all interchangeable from any L6?

 

I have seen the stock steel to steel type and then the brass to steel with different gear profile. Are these the only two differences?

Main thing to do is to shot peen the tang at bottom f dizzy, and the corresponding slot the tang fits into, at top f drive shaft.

Yes, a slightyly bgger pin ( imperial size) is insurance, as well.

The brass gears are not as harsh on wear, tyey do wear, but so very finely.
