Daalp1 Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Gents, I currently run a Pertronix module / setup in my L28 (SU Carbs). I've just got my hands (very cheaply) on a Crane XR3000 ignition module and a matching LX91 coil. My question is can this be used in conjunction with my pertronix? Does anyone run something similar? It seems Crane have their own module which is an optical pickup / trigger and has three wires that come out of the dizzy whereas the Pertronix is magnetic (?) and has only two wires coming out. As per the diagram attached the Crane XR3000 ignition module has three wires that seem to match their own module only. After ringing up Crane they said it doesn't work with anything else but a crane module but I just wanted to make sure before I buy their module and ditch the Pertronix. Thanks in advance, Den. Quote
