There's a few carb choices, ie Webers, Dellortos, Mikuni, Solex. Have a look on E-bay. You'll also need a manifold, linkage kit, adapters etc, velocity stacks and filters. You can find used complete sets ready to bolt on, (which will most likely need some fine tuning re jets, chokes etc depending on your set up, it will most likley add up to well over the purchase costs re tuning from what I'[ve been told however I'm yet to bolt mine on). Used set any where from $900 to $1600 depending on condition and size ie 40mm or 45mm.

Use the search functions and look in carbs section as there quite a bit in there with links.

Cheers,

Sulio

Isn't there an issue of fuel lines/pump(s)/surge tank.

Also you might want to think about an electronic distributer for greater precision throughout the rev range.

Just put mine on. bought a 280zx electronic dizzy and also using a holley blue + large fuel lines but then i am a weirdo when it comes to over doing things. At present using 5.5 psi fuel pressure which is what i had the su's using.

Tuning is an expensive thing put money aside for a dizzy regraph and dyno tune.

Everything sulio has said as well as

a big stonking smile when you fire em up and you sound like a race car !

Hi I’ve got some 40mm Dellortos that I’m thinking of selling. There from the same guy that Sulio bought his from, Alfa something..  They have been completely rebuilt and look identical to Sulio’s, I think he has a picture somewhere of his. I also have some new velocity stacks for them so they will be included in the price. They have 34mm chokes and are jetted for a high performance L26/28 but they might need some parts changed for your specific setup. I’m not sure of the price I can’t remember what I paid for them as I bought them over 18month’s ago now but it was probably around $600 all in, so offers some where around that.

Ps, you will need an inlet manifold and linkages to suit, another $400 or so.

Monaroz:

Using gemparts on ebay got me all the linkage extras I needed. ( mainly the little idle screws and some other things like a vacuum take off for the dizzy ). Quick service and they are up here in QLD as well. Also there is a mob on ebay.co.uk that have even more stuff for them . I dont know about any other place. I havent found many Z places up here in Bris.

I also have rebuild kits ordered as though they are running i dont know what is inside the carbs. And that isnt a good thing. About the only thing that i am going to need to track down is the larger springs on the chokes ( i have 40 dhla dellortos and they are the L series I am not sure but I cant seem to find much info on the choked dellortos. )

Get Charlie Boy's . That is a VERY good price.

I'd probably stick with the original head (reco'd) and install a 76' cam (568A) grind cam. If u want to call Wade cams in Oakleigh, they may still have my cam I dropped off there about 5 years ago to be re-ground and never picked it up. Went there not too long ago and it was still there. Then you need some good valve springs and new lash pads. Chase up some Alfa wreckers for some DHLA 40's, manifold, softmounts, stud kit and linkages from Autobarn, I can give you a hand setting them up, (done it a few times already) if you get stuck....
