fuel pressure for different carbs

Fitted a holley blue and holley regulator.

 

After blowing up my old fuel lines ( fuel everywhere and a red face as I asked for 4 meters of efi spec line!  )I  fired up everything and i am getting 6 psi which is what i last set up a holley blue for a v8. I have checked the viczcar forums for some info and it looks like this is about right but my questions is actually for triple delortos/webers

 

What is the optimal pressure for triples ? Should it be more due to the fact that the fuel as 1.5 more fuel reservoirs? I am about 2 weeks off putting the triples on so I thought you knowledgable fellows/fellowettes will know.

 

And yes a holley blue is overkill but i like to over engineer things

I'm running triple dellorto's (40mm) with no more than 2 psi press, and have no issues at high rpms. You need high volume not pressure. I found the "How to build and power tune Weber & Dellorto carbs" manual useful, it recommends pressure between 1.5 to 2.5 psi.

thanks for your feedback. Makes me think I might use twin rails for the triples. I have 5/16 fuel lines thoughout the car so with twin rails it should pump enough volume.

Well we run 3 to 3.5 psi on our triple race cars here in NZ but that does depend on the carb too as webers don't like more than 2.5 to 3 psi. So 3 is our magic number.
