Tracking a standard l26 and the fear of exploding it

Ok so Jake and I are entering into the regularity at lakeside shortly, I'm entering my 260 with original engine it has been re coed at some point

and hardly driven looking from looking inside the engine.

My question is, Since I have put triples and a healthy sized cam in it (3500rpm to 7500rpm) should I worry about replacing the stock conrod bolts with

some arp bolts?

any other simple mods you can suggest to increase its chance of surviving track days.

Short shift it at 6500 every time.

Spend a bit of time driving it now, to sort out any issues.
