vramjee91 Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Hey guys, Just after some advice, would the Twin solex 40mm downdraft carburettors, with a idf bolt pattern, model 40p11c6 be suitable for an L26. Would they also be able to be a good replacement for webers? Any advice would be good. Cheers Vivek Quote
Scoota G Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Downdraft Carbies Vivek. Get three then custom fabricate a manifold that allows 6 Ram Tubes to poke through the bonnet. After that paint the Rebel Flag on the roof and weld the doors shut. YEEEEHAAAARRRRR. Quote
dat2kman Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 It might work, lot of mcking around. You talking about an sedan type L6 engine twin throat downdraft carby manifold, ie 240K, 260C etc? The common fitment was a weber dcd 32/36 twin barrel downdraft, You may need to make adaptor plate tomatch carb to manifold. Quote
