MattB Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 I'm desperately chasing some of this. Where did you get it? Local rubber suppliers don't have anything that would do the job. Thanks Quote
phillay Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 clark rubber, it's number 17, it cost $7 a meter Quote
dat2kman Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Coach builders, Motor body builders, Vintage car restorers, should be able to point you, if Clark rubber doesnt come through. We used to have a business in Qld Qld Rubber Supplies, ?, that had full kits for all kinds of cars, now no longer. Also try Rare Spares? Quote
MattB Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Sweet - thanks guys. Id been into clarke rubber but drew a blank. Ill try again #17. Quote
phillay Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 the 2 clark rubber I've been to in my life they both had a wall of rubber strip products and there is a chart with about 40-50 varieties. They call them car guard liners, there are only 2 that would have suited one is about $18 per meter and one that is 8, the more expensive one wouldn't had suited for what we use on our cars. from the side it looks like this: O------------ the "O" is the part that sits above the flare Quote
dat2kman Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Thats it. I use that, the O bit is about 4 mm diameter. To make it curve, cut slits in the flat bit, or cut out triangles of the flat bit. Quote
