HKSZ Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Can someone give me an idea how aggressive this custom grind is. I have only ever spoken in terms of 68 72 74 degrees works grinds where does this sit? Quote
HKSZ Posted February 23, 2014 Author Posted February 23, 2014 Here's what a 74 looks like to compare Quote
d3c0y Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I'm by no means an expert, but it will make power a little higher up (rev harder), more peak power and idle a bit rougher. The 74 will be more torquey at lower rpm. It's definitely not a huge cam though, a 76 high lift is like 310 duration 550 lift to give you some reference. Quote
HKSZ Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 Its like trying to read tea leaves to me, the first cam must sit lower than a 74, closer to 72 Quote
Johnboy Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I have just had a 72 installed By Les Collins and the number on the recipt is as follows. "Camshaft Part Number Wade 487" Quote

Just because it's got the same lift as a 72 doesn't mean it's going to be way milder. Quote
HKSZ Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 Looks like my two Wade cams have gone up in value. After 50 years in business they are closing the doors this week. Real shame have always been good people to deal with and talk to. Quote
