Gee260 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Hi I'm searching for a product I can use for all those hard to reach places like the Chanels in the roof and cavities under the door where getting to any rust is basically impossible. Something that I can spray in like an aerosol that attacks the rust but can be left in there with out being painted. Any ideas? Cheers Quote
Retro Z Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 You can buy Cavity wax in a aerosol that has a long flexible hose attachment that sprays 360 degrees for those hard to reach places. It seeps into all the cavities and stays tacky. Wurth makes a good one that doesn't leak out on a hot day. Quote
Gee260 Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 Sounds like what I'm looking for is it penetrative? So like can I spray it ontosurfac rust and etc that might be down there? Quote
Retro Z Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Yes that's correct. More info is in this link http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/WURTH-CAVITY-PROTECTION-SPRAY-500MLS-AEROSOL-CAVITY-WAX-/120894888546 Quote
adam Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Another one is Penetrol, it has a viscosity lower than that of water and goes into all the hard to reach places with a spray. Leave it for a few minutes, best over night, and it will harden for a nice seal. Not very effective when exposed to UV but where you're talking would be perfect for it. It can be found at your local Bunnings too which make it easy. Quote
