Hey guys...

As im sure im about 4-6weeks away from giving the Z a spray job.

i am unsure of what color to go,and ive been having this discussing in my head for over a year....

either this color, its called sonaro metaliic, from BMW individual range...

i like this color very much, and i think it would be great for the car as the orignal color of the car is green, so kinda keeping the same etc etc

or Red, bascilly nissan red, i forget the color code, but its quite nice

but as everyone has seen Red Zeds around

I like the BMW colour. However the original green would look nice with a mustard coloured interior and I like skyblue with light cream interior.

Where are the pics of progress NAte?

Sorry, going to have to vote against the BMW colour - it looks kind of washed out to me, maybe its all the light colours around it reflecting, but yeah.... Much prefer the original green, as you said there are too many red zeds around. Part of the reason I'm going white.

if i was going to go for a goldy colour i'd go a dark grey gold like what is on some of the x5's i think, here are some colours i'd like to see on a zed, i personally think you should do the bmw dark green off like hte current 5 series (can't find a pic of it, but here's one of a 7 series althoguh i think the colour might b a bit diferent) but if u dont do it then i just might :D dark grey also looks sick like www.sr240z.com

*also the orange off the "smaller" lambo would be sweet to see on a zed specially if the mirrors off it were used. for my car i want to keep the cream interior so i perfer the contrast of it against a basically black car that gets colour on it when light hits it, although cream and red looks good ofcourse and its a very timeless colour...

i had a dark colored Z already, i really prefer the lighter colors, as during the day they look great, but espicialy at night you can still see the lines of the car that really make it look fantastic...

I'll most likely be going chilli Red, from Mini, basically looks exactly the same type of red as Manaros but a little but more "chilli"

as my engine bay is already been painted red, easier to paint the interoir with everything out already.. etc etc

Hmmm - that grey zed is awesome. Now I'm trying to decide whether to shave the side indicators off, and/or the vents..... wondering how that'd look on a white car. Anyone got any opinions on shaving vents or indicators, which i should/shouldn't do?

And damn I hope my car looks even halfway as good as that thing....

i'm a fan of shaved indicators but i like the zed vent behind the side windows along with the headlight bucket line. i reakon some clear side indactors off a 3 series (the triangle shaped ones) would look nice behind the front wheels or the vent from vz commodores or something similar, but that would require more effort and a zed shouldn't b brought down to using parts from a commonwhore hehe (but still could look nice)

americans had to remove the rear indicator as well... i don't mind the front idicator, maybe a more classy clear indicator would go down well, and maybe a smooth one, that is lines with the body rather than sticking out...

im leaving my rear vent hole, just becuase i think its there for a reason, and i will make my badges look pretty...

don't mind the front headlight welding job, but not really a problem for me anyway.... i like the black powercoated window surrounds thou, they look clean... but i'll be going classic crome...

Yeah, I think I'll shave the indicators, but leave the vent..... And I'm not planning to fill the line between the headlight scoop and gaurd, I like that there to break it up a little bit.
