Hi all,

 

Due to unforeseen circumstances, i've had to regretfully let go of perhaps the best drivers car i've owned. It is a complete running car but i had intentions of restoring it to former glory.

 

Details:

 

1973 Datsun 240z Yellow/Lime (original colour)

 

Transmission: Manual

Km: 3000km on engine, approx 120000km on chassis

Rego: March 2014 - i thought it was until oct but just got the notice that its march. Can be renewed for NSW buyers

Location: Campsie, Sydney

 

Engine:

2.6L L26 built 3000km ago by Daniel Moore in Melbourne

N42 head with upgraded harmonic balancer

Flat top pistons

Triple 40mm Dellorto Carbs with airbox and intake

Nissan 72 cam

Matching ceramic headers + exhaust (straight pipe currently fitted, a muffler is also included but i doubt you would want to put it on ;) )

 

Interior:

Air con and fans have been removed

Momo racing steering wheel

Nardi Classic wheel also included.

Racing harnesses for driver

Fire Extinguisher

 

Handling:

Front + Rear strut braces

R180 LSD

260z rear axle

MSA 4 piston calipers with cross drilled rotors and brake cooling ducts

Koni shocks + King Springs

New suspension bushes

MSA front camber kit

14" hotwire wheels

Car starts 1st time everytime, handles and drives really well and has one amazing exhaust note. Car used to be raced in classics back in Melbourne and was built for reliability+fun. I've also got approx 20 years worth of receipts with the car.

That colour has been growing on me since i almost purchesed one in that colour up a few years back.

 

Good luck with the sale, and a few more pic's would be nice.

Wow, this generated alot more interest than i expected.

 

All pm's have been replied and huge thanks for the kind words about my situation. it really means alot :)

 

i've uploaded all the pics i've taken of the car (63 in total). i hope that provides enough detail of the car.

let me know if theres something you would like to see and i'll try get a pic up asap.

Epic 40 degree drive on the Hume today but the car is back in Melbourne and didn't miss a beat.

 

Much thanks to Paul for picking me up from the airport, no doubts we'll see him in another zed soon.

The Hume is pretty good, albeit boring at times, drive these days.

 

Says a lot about the car that you could just jump in it and do the Syd - Melb trip with no drama's especially on a hot day.
