Retro Z Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Hi guys wondering what you all use to space up your front guards on your s30's I'm referring to those sponge blocks that are glued to the brackets on the topside of the wheel well that the front guards rest on so that when a mechanic leans on the guards it doesn't flex and dent. Any alternatives to foam which would hold water. Quote
dat2kman Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 A Clark Rubber shop may have something, just make sure it wont soak in or hold water. KwikGrip glue, the smelly stuff to hold it on. Quote
Retro Z Posted September 27, 2013 Author Posted September 27, 2013 Thanks for your help. I'll go for a drive to Clark Rubber tomorrow and report back on what may suit. Quote
webmanic Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Best stuff to use is a closed cell PVC light to medium density foam. Make sure it is closed cell, not open. Bunnings sell a self adhesive strip from Moroday. You will find the 6mm thickness x 25mm width fits perfectly. Quote
