High quality CF parts are usually done with an epoxy resin whereas most fibreglass is done with a polyester resin. unfortunately for your plan the 2 resins dont tend to adhere to one another very well. Thats not to say it wouldnt work, just that it would be a very poor bonding. Why not just use Nutserts? Quote

We call it "Corvette glue" around here, slang term because Corvettes tend to be glued together with the stuff, among many other cars. I don't recall the proper name for it but I know 3M makes a version, and is designed for panel bonding like you're planning to do. You can then blend the parts together afterwards with traditional blending techniques. Quote

I know it sounds like stating the obvious but why not just get carbon flares, you can get ZG flares in carbon.? Quote

Call a Lotus Dealer and ask who they use as an approved smash repairer to replace a panel on your Elise, then call that repairer and ask them what adhesives they use to bond the panel to the chassis. Then find that adhesive (probably a 3M product) and buy it. Quote
