jasonmac Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 OK, so this is embarrassing, but who gives a shit... I haven't driven a manual for 20 years I'm about to do the auto to manual conversion soon on my zed and as none of my mates are driving manuals now (they've moved onto family wagons) I decided to take a refresher lesson on the weekend. I enjoyed it heaps and picked it up really easy. What surprised me was how many of the driving "schools" out there offer auto lessons only. Part of getting a zed for me was relearning how to drive and to experience working on the car. I want to be able to teach my own daughter how to drive when she's old enough. I want to work on something myself and to experience the pleasure that brings. Looks like a lot of the kids today aren't interested in these things. Makes me value my new zed even more. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted June 24, 2013 Moderators Posted June 24, 2013 I don't think it's embarrassing, you'd be suprised how many people don't know how to drive a manual! My wife for one, has no idea and I'm still in the process of teaching my sister in law. She picked it up quite quickly. I wish alot of drivers on the road make driving a car not just a way to get around, but to enjoy the actual experience almost like a sport; a skill you can sharpen. Would make the roads a lot safer and stress free. Quote
