Hi all,

I thought ide mention this as it gave me ALOT of greif!

swapping a R180 deff with a R200 in your 280zx (auto shell) 1983.

using both of the R200 half shafts the diff will shutter. these shafts are slightly too long, even though they will bolt up snugg to the hubs.. i found as soon as you get power down and the car starts squatting at the rear, i got a terrible shutter.

after pulling the diff out 4 or 5 times, long story short i took the RIGHT hand r180 shaft and seperated it from the spline at the CV joint and then had the r200 spline put onto the r180 shaft.

after bolting it all back up the diff ran nice with no shutter what so ever :)
