Floor rack and Chassis straightening equipment

Yeah I'm after a floor rack and some chassis straightening equipment.

 

Prefer bolt on concrete type so i can remove it when not used.  old school stuff not a complete hoist and jig system.

 

Arms and chains or hydraulics also interested but not essential price pending.

Pick yourself up a 20 ton PortaPower kit, that has all the rams extensions and end tools.

Then grab some steel rigging plate clamp, they look like vise grips, the harder you pull the tighter they squeeze.

Some rated chain,

Some dynabolts, some bits of thick wall angle with various holes, and a hammer drill.

 

Proceed to install a dozen or so dynabolts to yoyr garage floor, bolt on bits of angle, use chains, clamps chain rollers D shackles, pirtapower, etc.

 

Bear in mind to get metal "back" to correct alignment, it does need overstretching, as it will spring back.

 

Go hang out at some panel beaters shops, watch and learn, ask to buy their old equipment. Keep eye out in papers, or adk around trade if any shops are/have closed. Grab gear cheap!

have all the tools and quite a bit of porta power and chains clamps etc.... my dad had a crash shop and a home built rack where I used to straighten cars out. I worked with crashies for few years and with my old man.

 

Straightening 4wd chassis and breaking 20t chains while A arm bouncing of the ground over 1.5m in height and bringing a 3.5x2m shed door down with it. quite fun and regular change of underpants 

 

the thing is equipment is bit old and don't have access to my old mans workshop where the inbuilt rack is situated and have a car that needs pulling tiny bit.

 

did see on gumtree from 1k for realy old home made looking thing to professional item in good condition for 2.5K with the press and pulling arms. to a full kit with chains hooks etc for 3.8k.

 

Enquired on weekend, basic kit new is 2.5k from the crash shop.  so those  on gumtree are asking bit too much. im still waiting on response what is all included in the base price. so far its the grid with all the hardware and pulling arm and some chains. Porta power is possibly included but not confirmed.

 

if porta power included and i cannot get the gumtree guys down in price i just buy the new one. at least all the chemset bolts and fitting hardware is included. Lucky i optioned for the stronger concrete when built the shed.

 

but if i can grab one somewhere for 1-2k second hand I prefer that.
