Depends if the area is clear enough, but I've been thinking of some rather large seat belt material tied around the front crossmember and being held out the front would be a good front tow point; pulling it from either bar mount may stress some of the chassis.

GAP racing products have CAMS approved tow straps that will work better then a solid hook. I've found that the solid hook will always be in the most inconvenient place when you need to use It. And they don't like being pulled sideways.

I put my toqw hook just infront of the radiator. Custom made a metal bracket that bolted to the chasis. It is hidden away well inside the G-nose. It works ok for me. Sadly it has been used a few times. Ha

You have to think of how you attach a tow rope if you are deep inside a sand trap. You can't access the under body, so it works well for me.  :D

All good ideas thanks gents. I thought a strap or similar would move to one side while getting towed especially from an angle and possibly damage the nose.... I had thought about welding the current hook (from ZCCJDM) which mounts on bumper bracket bolts near hinges, to the Gnose bumper stays. Is this too weak a spot to tow from?
