This car sat in a workshop for 20 years (since 1995) after it blew a head gasket and the motor seized solid. Still wearing Safari Gold (having had at least 1 additional coat of Jam from factory), it remained relatively original apart from the L28 block that was installed in place of the old L24 that was sadly discarded sometime in the 1980s.
The car then went to South Australia after being auctioned off on eBay a couple of years ago. I purchased the car from someone who bought it from the eBay buyer (it was a deceased estate) and the seller didn't have the enthusiasm to take on the project.
It now resides in a garage in Sydney, where I slowly ebb away at the rust work needed to be done to revive her and get her back on the road.
The motor is also out and I plan to rebuild it soon.
