Thanks Kato! Greatly appreciated!!! Very good to know about the bracket, it's the kind of insight you wouldn't get unless you've been down this path. I'm hoping to get the car on stands by the end of next week so I can begin the brake/suspension part of my build! After revisiting the site and having a think about where I'm going with the build I'm leaning towards the greens. I will probably be getting back in contact with them next week after the car's up as I don't want to stuff them around with waiting for me to send up struts etc All in all very happy with this thread and the responses I've received! I'll be sure to update with pictures and info for anyone looking at MCA as a future option.

Hi Guys! Getting ready to pull the trigger on this and just have a few questions surrounding the install. These next questions are directed a bit more generally to anyone who has gone down the path of putting in an aftermarket suspension setup! -Can you run me through how you got them on the car? Did you do the install yourself or handball it off to a fab shop? -What extra parts did you have to purchase -Basically the A-Z process you went though as I am a complete bloody noob at this and don't want to mess it up! thanks in advance guys!

Please, if there is something glaringly obvious I am missing bring it up and let me know! This will be my first time sizing new wheels for a car and while I've tried to do as much research as i can I still feel like I'm going to get it wrong. It also doesn't help that I've been unable to find a local supplier of these wheels ( me to go in an have a good chat to. Anyway to begin. I'm fairly sure the dimensions of the current wheels on my car (stock?) aaaare 14 x 5J +15 all round with these I've got about a 20mm & 40mm gap between the wheels and the front/rear guards respectively So that's whats on at the moment and where I'm looking to head up to is with 16's to fit in a front brake upgrade. On the front I'm looking at 16 x 7.5J +6 (M type disk) which I've calculated will protrude roughly 20mm past the guards On the back I'm looking at 16 x 9J -20 (L type disk) which I've calculated will protrude roughly 46mm past the guards Things to note -I'm looking to keep my front's fairly narrow to help keep the steering feeling light -also looking to get the wheels out a bit further than the body of the car Now questions ...... I have them -Is the 26mm difference in offset okay? -Will the change in disk type be an issue? -Is a 1.5" jump in width too much? -from the site provided can you see a better rim combination ? -Am I Just going to be pissing away my cash going down this path? I don't have an automotive background or much experience in restorations but god damn I love the S30's and i reckon they are one of the meanest, coolest and sexiest cars out there! I want to learn as much as I can from this car. (pic attached is my car just in case those wheels aren't stock) please be gentle

So if I'm thinking of going 16 x 7.5 +6 on the front And 16 x 8.5 + 10 on the back Is there anything glaringly obvious about this choice that would lead to troubles with fitment/performance down the track?

Having a look around for some new rims/wheels for my S30 build and i'm interested to know what width people are running on their front rims and how you would rate the handling/turning performance of your setup? To give a bit of context I've been warned by a few people that in their experience going 7 and above is fine if you're hurtling down in a straight line but becomes pretty heavy in everyday/city driving conditions. Other than wanting the best out of my build I asking mainly because I've seen quite a lot of S30 setups here running all the way up to 9's on the front. thanks for the info!

Hi guys! Have had a scroll though a couple of the threads on suspension and I've seen the MCA system pop up quite a bit ( https://mcasuspension.com/suspension). Although they've been recommended a few times I haven't seen many people talking about their experiences with the system. I'm pretty sold for a few reasons but mainly the quality seems to be there and the cost is quite affordable being Australian made and not paying an arm and a leg for shipping. So! If you've used MCA I'd be interested to know - which system you went with (I'm looking at the street performance) -what spring type you went with -how did you go with getting these on your z? Any additional parts worth grabbing? More info the better! Feel free to post any relevant additional info! Thanks in advance guys!
