    Without seeing the paintwork I would go with what Dave said earlier.. sand and buff.. If you're hesitant to sand/buff and presuming the bumps aren't actually paint bumps, defects or humidity blisters I would try a claybar or claymit and then a light buff for shine

    G'day all, I'm the owner of #706 1971 240z and have been lucky enough to have had it hibernating undercover in my shed since the late 90's when I began to strip it down for a restore. Due to circumstances I had to stop doing the car and buy a house, which now is done so it's car time again. I'm looking forward to spending lots of time reading up on the how to's and don't do's here and hopefully bringing my 2nd love back to it's former glory
