Thanks gav240z for the reply . I always thought 240z/260z front bumpers were the same . Reason i'm asking is i'm sick of reproduction bumpers looking good for 6 months and then becoming pitted with rust spots , They were/are expensive enough without having to get re -chrome ,so was looking for stainless steel one (front only also) . I've come across some in the states as well as Vietnam , but they say 240z/260z coupe won't fit 2+2 and they have a different one for the 2+2 (again front) unless they are having a lend of me . I now realize the rears are different , i have also seen rear 260z late and early models different (some are recessed in on later models where as the early ones are flush with panel Not that i want rear anyway . Now i am completely confused and it's to much money to spend on the wrong one .

Hi All While on the topic of bumpers , can anybody tell me the difference between a coupe and 2+2 260z Front Bumper . Year 1975 if that makes a difference . Is there a difference . Rgds Lynton Perkins

Hi Nat_0 Your name came up in conversation the other day and yes i know you are away on extended travel , but a question for you . Do you , will you, could you make up chassis rails LH and RH side for 260z 2+ 2 on return . Mine are stuffed due to internal rust . Rgds Lynton Perkins

Hi All , Has anybody got any ideas on where inner scuff plates can be obtained from or do you know of anybody making these either in aluminium or fiberglass or any other material . Hi Twoforty z Early version 2+2 RH door with or with out lock mechanism and glass for starters .LH & RH inner scuff plates (2+2's are quite long ). Gee how long do you want the list to be . Maybe LH guard all subject to what he want's for them. Where do you have to go to look/get parts . Rgds Lynton

Hi Gilltech No those on Gumtree are all late model version and have different lock/catch mechanism . I can organize freight interstate if I could find one, as long as it gets packed securely. Rgds Lynton Perkins

Hi all I have to clear an L24 fuel injected engine (part of a package) that i need to clear . Come with complete front suspension.Looks like engine was dropped from underneath car . Was told it was running when removed . Unsure what it was out of BUT must move on .Other wise going from scrap .Just need it gone . Offers looked at . Located in SA. Pictures on gumtree Rgds Lynton

Linton ---Not many of us around with a name like that --goods see someone else with a Datsun and similar name ---So you are saying the door catch and striker are different for the two version --everything else the same door size hinge positioning . All i have to do is make sure the catch on my old door is the sames as new door i'm looking at . Do you know if the position of catch is in the same place . Brabham --I had better double check --pretty sure it is 74 , didn't take a close look at that but will tonight . Hi Ever Body I'm new to this forum but have been on Ozdat for years, have rebuilt many 1600's but thought it was time to go up market . Purchased a 260z 2+2 recently and in need of doors (1 bad with rust but can be repaired , the other previous owner ran into door with own car beyond repair ) I have come across some 2+2 doors but my question is, are all 260z 2+2 doors through out the years of manufacturer the same . Reason I ask this strange question , I have seen on Ebay single doors advertised but owner also nominates a year of manufacture eg76-78 or 73- 75 etc etc if 1600's are anything to go by all doors are the same for a 4 door car .
