I wouldent care less, like i said they are worthless to me i dont see the dollar value in them, i was just after a cheap hack about to hack up and modify for fun.i have one that i was going to keep all original however ill use it now as im not spending more than 10k on a shatto. I bought one from cliff for 6k with little rust which is what they are worth and not a cent more. Thats all dattos are cheap little inexpensive mass produced cars and its all they ever will be they are nothing special although people on this forum act as though they are gold lol. They are simply just cheap cars for the average joe to burn around in nothing more. If ya nice before i hack it up ill sell it to you for oh wait 50k lol ,its a 10k car all day long. If i dont remove my stuff from this pitiful site please remove the rest.

Thats the key there people will be offloading posessions like cars, and sure those people needing a bank loan wont get for a classic car.However gav i dont need a bank loan i have the cash,just really dont see the value in over priced datsuns.im keen for a cheap project car to havk up etc but ill never see a huge worth in a datsun especially as they are a mass produced car and found all over the globe in large numbers. People will no longer be able to afford hobboes gav so they will be selling those off also. No job = no money mate no matter how you look at it and a car that is not practical will be sold cheap as people will need the money. They call it an upturn for a reason, because on the flipside there will be a down turn andnif you follow the trends you will see Australia is in a really bad state as we relied way too much on china and if they drop 5percent we automatically drop 2.5 percent that was before they stopped trade. Ill wait till then to buy a few if i dont buy a mustang. Thats if money is worth anything or if you can afford to fuel ya car lol. Tough times ahead So sell ya dattos to me cheap now lol.

i bought 240z from cliff a member from this forum, he is a nice bloke. so its not that i cant afford one i just cant justify spending that much on a datto they just are not worth it.

Greg The answer is no. You wont have the money to buy another car. Infact you will try and offload the cars you have but noone will buy.

Yep still up he is closing the sale at 9 tonight. He has had 60 people come to visit today and over 300 call's. He got back to me and said he is conducting an auction. The highest 10 bidders he will call again in an hour and after that the highest bidder takes it. Its at 9500k at the moment howerver im sure it will go for way more than it is worth. Smart seller,he will get people to pay more this way however its dirty as. Im almost going to put in a stupid high price to win it and then decline the sale later. Dirty seller.

Hi andbir Thanks for that i check everyday but did not see this one. I have replied and have someone who can take a look. It depends on rust as to what i am willing to pay,looking at it now id say 8k max,however it may be better or worse. What do you think it is worth? Will wait to see. Thanks again.

Hi Cliff If you dont mind me asking What did you sell the 2 seater for in the end or are you keen to keep that one to yourself which is totally fine. Buying a 2+2 should be a good experience as there are soooo many more of them and they are a fair bit cheaper. Best of luck getting your 2+2 mate,enjoy.

Hi Guys A member Michael009 who is a new member from the states has been messaging details of sellers from the U.S. who have z cars for sale at good prices such as this guy John William ( williambenson1112@gmail.com.) he is a scammer and asks for a deposit etc before sending car details. Just wanted to make you all aware as his cars look good and are priced well. However if it seems too good to be true,it probably is. Hope this helps so noone gets caught out.

You Have a few good points there I believe my impressions are totally accurate the current market and lack of high priced cars for sale that do not sell is proof of this. The z's have become overpriced. and yes you are right they simply are not worth restoring or cost effective to buy due to the overinflated prices and scarce availability of parts. That is why the expensive s30's just dont sell and sit there for months,simply they just are not worth the overinflated prices people are asking. The datsun was an affordable car to do up resto and enjoy now they are just not worth it. Unless prices go down you would have to be crazy or love the s30 alot to buy one now. Id buy a reasonable one for 20k max and one that needs rust work thats not ready for the tip like most of them for 10k. At the end of the day they are still s30's a reasonable sports car but by no means a sports car commanding a high buy price. I am trying the us as a guy imports them and they seem to be mostly rust free,a few dings here and there but at roughly 18k Australian landed it might be a good option for me.

M8 at the prices most people are asking its just not worth buying a z anymore. If they are cheaper it is because it will cost you an arm and a leg to restore and remove rust. The z car has gone out of reach of the average man and enthusiast lets face it for the 40k or 50k they are asking for a reasonable z you can buy a reasonably new mustang 5litre v8 that goes harder handles better looks better and is a hell of alot safer. I have given up on the z's too many wankers wanting high prices which is why they don't sell and they end up keeping them.Or wait a few months when everyone is desperate for cash and they have to sell them at a reasonable price to survive.

And it is the son selling for the father. Another old guy hanging onto the dream of a resto while not starting it he was not willing to sell it and let it sit out in the weather. Might be good for someone.

True Gav It will take alot of time and money to bring one back in that condition. Ill take either a 260z or 240z hopefully in better condition than these were.
