  1. Yea, its the same one as the Subaru's. A friend of mine had a WRX and that is where I thought it would be a good idea.
  2. Great looking dog and awesome name! I have a border collie and wanted to name her Nismo, but my wife wasn't too keen on it.
  3. I had two forms of security on my R34. 1. A Brant immobiliser that included a keypad which required a pin number to start the car. 2. There is a small circuit (can't remember who makes it) which has a GPS and place for a sim card. You hide it under your dash and just find 12 volts to connect it to. You need to pay a monthly cost to keep the sim active, but if your car is stolen, you send this circuit a text message. It will immediately reply with the GPS location of your car without alerting the thief.
  4. It will be very interesting to see how this goes in Le Mans. As the technology improves and becomes cheaper, this will become a viable option for engine swaps. Crazy thing is, with that weight and size you could put it on a go-kart! Can you imagine a go-kart of 200kg (including driver) with this engine? That's a power to weight ratio of 2000 HP per Tonne
  5. I was thinking about importing from Canada as an option. In fact there is a Z specialist workshop about half an hours drive from where I live which would be really handy. The only issue is I would prefer getting a RHD to own in Australia. I am planning on visiting these guys and seeing what is possible. If the car is essentially identical, then starting from a rolling shell wouldn't be difficult to convert and getting a Z here would be ideal! I want to do as much of the work myself as I can, but I just need to understand a little more about the specifics before I get one here. http://www.whiteheadperformance.com/ Don't know if any of you have had any experience with these guys from the other side of the world, but I'll check them out and let you guys know what they can offer.
  6. Hi Guys, I'm am a new member to viczcar and I'm here to learn. I have previously owned an R33 Skyline and an R34 Skyline. I've put pictures of both below. I am originally from Perth and I've moved to Canada for a 2 year work visa. This meant that my R34 (my car at the time) had to sadly be let go. My plan, however, is to aim to get a 240z when I move back to Perth in mid 2015 as a project car. I have been doing a lot of reading on this and other forums and it looks like finding something will be a challenge. My aim would be to buy a rolling shell and restore it with an RB25DET Neo engine. R34 halfcuts are not too bad in price and I should be able to get most of what I need from that. I have seen that this conversion is not uncommon, so it gives me a bit more confidence in the success of such a project. As I have said, I'm here to learn. I know quite a bit about Skylines, but this is going to be a new challenge to me. Look forward to meeting some of you one day with a my completed project car. This was my R33 and this was my R34
