  1. Well, I must say that I think I've seen all of the videos Gareth has posted of his car and it looks, sounds, and appears to run great. I really, really, really like the idea of 6 carbs. Tuning them may be a large bit of experimentation but that's fine by me. My only concern is how well it will support the high rpms. My 240 is currently in the shop getting the body brought back up to spec. It was in really good shape with just some minor surface rust that I wanted completely removed before repainting. Ultimately I want this car to perform in the upper rpm ranges. My end point with the engine is to have forged internals that have been balanced, dry sump conversion, and either the 6 pack of moto carbs, or the triple webers/mikunis. I don't have a hp goal in mind for it, I'm just looking for a nice, responsive engine that thrives up high. I've already got a LW flywheel and clutch combo that combined weighs about the same as the stock flywheel by itself and will also be adding in a Mallory Unilite Dizzy with MSD 6AL ignition and blaster coil. But yes Gareth's videos have inspired me to take a look at the motorcycle carbs, the FCR in particular. I just have to find a price for them here in the states.
  2. Thanks, that's the kind of answer I was looking for.
  3. I'm not sure how long it's been since you had the 6 moto carbs in your car, but it really caught my eye. I'm still reading through this massive thread looking to find what your opinions on the setup was. Also I'm wondering if you did it over again, what would you have done differently? I was thinking I might try my hand at this as well. This is assuming it would flow enough to support 8k rpm, which I imagine it would since they came off a street bike. Any suggestions on this or do you think I would be better off with triples?
