I took a chance and bought one off ebay from nsw, transported it across to the other side of Australia to Karratha, took me a week and a half after I saw it on ebay. Had only been looking for one around 3 weeks before that. The front infront of the strut towers is stuffed so I'm replacing the front end from half way through the struts. Huge risk getting off ebay, but it payed off for me. Rest of the car has barely any rust

Hey all , has anyone got a complete front rad support with the cross member for a 1975 260z in excellent condition. Willing to pay a fair price. Would be better to have it cut from just infront of the shock towers. Please pm me if you've got one spare. Cheers, Napes94

i completely agree with last two posts. I only thought that by putting in a R34, id have less mechanical problems in the long run, than an L series engine. if i could find one in good nick and fairly cheap including delivery, it would be a preferred option as i don't really want to have to manufacture extra support parts. Its not really power i'm looking to get out of my Z, comfort and good pickup and a smooth ride is more desired. And a few weeks may be cutting fine for a conversion, i just wanted to know if it was even possible. I really want the car to be completely finished within 18 months from now. Still might be cutting it fine. P.S Can an L26 or L28 be converted into fuel injection?

I'm not very mechanically apt but I have the will to learn and I pick up things pretty quick, problem I have is budget and lack of time. Can I pull off an r34 conversion in a few weeks on a low budget. I'm looking at a r34 complete front cut for 3800$. With no budget for payed work.

hey Guys, iv'e had my 260z for about 5 months now and am looking to do an engine conversion. the engine that came with the car is a 5L V8 Toyota Lexus engine with 5 speed Auto trans. It's to difficult to get it registered with such a big engine where i am, so i want to do an R34 skyline engine conversion with manual gear box. Have any of you done this before because i just want to know how difficult the conversion will be. Ill be looking to get a complete R34 front half cut and put all of the goodies into my 260z. id be interested in a set of under floor chassis rails also for my early 260z. mine have a few rust holes and need to be completely removed. Can you please PM me a response and cost? regards Napes94

Is it still possible to get a set of early 74 260z chassis rails in engine bay made up? Is it also possible to get a complete front rad support made up also/ including front cross member? Desperately in need of one. My car's front end is only where the rust is and this is my last option. Please help? regards Napes94
