  2. Hi All, we just moved into a single garage house and wife said to let go of the car for now. I have not yet started as I was waiting for my new garage to get the work on it so sadly my 260 has to go. I bought the car off Hypertrev so it might be known to some of you. Here is the original add If I can recoup my money id be happy. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,12994.msg136498.html#msg136498 It is still as it was then great starter for a project. Feel free to contact me on my mobile, I also have it on gumtree. Thanks TembaVJ
  3. Yeah... it was on gumtree too. I wish!
  4. Is it possible to do the install with an RB25 and at a later stage upgrade to rb26 with minimal effort?
  5. nat0_240_chevZ that would be awesome, once i get going ill drop you a PM the brackets have been a worry for me. If I do go RB26 I would like the motor to sit lower and slightly back. Is this a big problem? Sorry for all the late responses wedding and stuff got me busy as hell!!
  6. nizm0zed thanks for the advise, I have been doing a lot of research on it. I would love to do the RB26 but it might turn out just a little to expensive. I could hold on for a little while and save. Might be the right way... then again RB25 is not bad
  7. Wow thanks for the advise guys, ill have a look into it.
  8. Hey all, looking to get an RB engine and gearbox. RB26DETT with 25det gear box or both engine and tran 25DET. I have called a couple of places but the blokes always seem very rude and unhelpful. If you know of anyone in Melbourne or a good company please drop me a reply. In return I will send you a link to a very funny youtube video. Cheers T
  9. Wow thanks guys, finally some serious answers, not that I was not enjoying the funny stuff. Boy, I have researched and have made my choice a while ago. This forum is an awesome place for information and help. I have put a couple of books on order, just something that I can brows without a computer. I have bought a shell and work will begin in the next month or so. For my first Datsun I am doing a 260 so don't mind modifying (thinking RB25) The 240 and 260's has always been my dream car, so very excited to get started. I ave given myself 2 years for the project. Thanks again for the replies. T
  10. I am doing a restore job on a 260z, just wondering if anyone knows of a good book I can order? Thanks
  11. Thanks for the responses, if always known its not an easy job. Think I might leave it to a pro. Cheers
  12. Ill add that I am looking for moneys worth, good job that will last.
  13. If I did the hard work of stripping and hand over a rolling shell in primer what would a good spray job cost in Melbourne? Also anyone still doing spray jobs on old cars, most guys simply focus on insurance jobs?
  14. Has anyone spent time and read the sales description on this blokes 260z? http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Datsun-260Z-1976/SSE-AD-2221160/?Cr=6 Its the best sales pitch I have ever seen on a car add. Very funny.
