A quick introduction : I was both customer and former employee of Lindsay of the Z-Shop. Having encountered this tirade compelled me to come forward to shed more light on the nature of his claims. Coming from a man who's in equal measure scummy, unscrupulous and wouldn't bat an eyelid about cheating his customers and endangering lives as a result, labeling others "losers" and "scum" is rather thick. Blaming one's personal failings on others is simply weak and disgraceful. I had previously purchased an 89' 300zx from said person in September '12, with the explicit understanding that it was in a safe, working condition with a "3 month / 5000km" warranty included as part of the deal. Within the month following the purchase, the car broke down numerous times (to be precise, 5) on the roads, twice of which put pedestrians at critical risk. On each of these counts, he refused to service it during trading hours, quoting "a busy, full up work schedule " (which by the way, was only "packed" due to his gross mismanagement and indulgence in non-value added activities). He even had to gall to insist that I be present to aid with the repairs after-hours, which I found absolutely ludicrous and flat-out refused. No reasonable person would have expected "warranty" from a service-man to be as such. Furthermore, I was also not made aware of the pre-existing problems with the vehicle, which he construed to "never have missed a beat". Clearly, a severe understatement. In the capacity of his employee, I was given full access to his books and soon discovered the nature of the business and became disillusioned but above all, disgusted by his behavior. Yes, he is / was mired in debt, and it was hardly surprising. Most of his day was spent monitoring/ turning his employees against each other, speaking to fellow enthusiasts/ indulging in inquiries during trading hours (frequently with no revenue prospects) and finding ways to make a quick buck on his next Datsun/Nissan fix-up, the values of which often bordered on absurd, given the quality of the parts used (largely scrapped) and level of workmanship. Considering how deeply entrenched in problems this person was, he seemed far more interested in boosting his own credentials (all words but no action) and pulling down everything he could lay his hands on with him. Talk about reducing people to your level, ha. I could go on for hours and hours about his misdeeds, but it would serve no useful purpose. My only intention is to lend credence to the words of people who have been wronged/fleeced by Lindsay and hopefully, aid them in avoiding the misfortune which befell me from dealing/trusting him at all. To Lindsay : Perhaps you should tell the public of your own misdeeds before even attempting to muddy the reputation of others in this smear campaign. Be utterly grateful I chose not to take you to Consumer Affairs or VicRoads. To the forum mods : I apologize for this rant.
