  13. Thanks! I am going to get the intake mannifold powder coated this week, it will make it much easier to keep clean. And yes I am lucky to have her - here she is at the track. I am thinking of running Mega Jolt for ignition so now looking into EDIS mounting hardware and a few other items.

  15. I thought I would share my engine build with you guys - quick background on the build. I first started to build a L30 3 years ago for a turbo application. Sold everything for that build so I can buy a motorcycle. The person I sold it to never started to finsih the build so I bought some of it back at %50 of what I sold it for. Jump forward another year, met my current gf who is a car girl....long and short of it, she has done a track evet with me at Lime Rock and wants to do more in the future. After that event she told me, you know the car needs more hp I was holding my foot down the front straight and had to let other cars by me. That was my excuse to build the L30! Ok so here are some current pics of the engine as of last night: Pulled the head back off yesterday to give a final wipe down and double checking everything. Here is a pics of the lower half of the L30 with the 1mm HG: After reinstalling the head with the ARP head bolts - I reinstalled the E31 spary bar just to make sure the cam is well oiled. I am running a 280zx turbo oil pump: Front cover complete - timing set, all gaskets seal up nice and a must have is a SS bolt kit when putting one of these together. It makes assembly super easy and clean. Also it just pops well against the new parts: Also added new SS studs and bolts for intake and exhaust: It is nice having a spare engine to steal parts from because I def lost 2 years ago small odds and ends. Next picture shows the engine flipped over and I was getting ready to install that metal shield that goes over the mesh for the breather tube. Def easier to do this with the crank out. Also had to rotate the engine a few times to check clearence, don't want to have to pull the oil pan to fix that later. Also gave a final check to make sure there were no nuts and bolts or just debris in the block after working on it for a few hours. Once that was complete, wiped the block face down where the gasket would be and went to town sealing it up! So the one major item I am missing right now is.......a dip stick tube! Machine shop removed mine and I have no clue where it is now. The spare engines tube got messed up when I tried to remove it. Progress is being made and hope to have the engine completely sealed up in a week. Waiting on header I bought from a Hybridz member and then I can mount the Weber 45s and see the BIG PICTURE! Next - I am hoping to have her fired up in a few weeks. I will take the time to refresh the engine bay of the 260z - major while I am at it.

  19. Thanks for the information. The ones in the picture I stole from the internet so it is easy to see what I am talking about. I woud love to buy a set of new split lense units if I can. Anyone have a lead or set sitting around? If I can't find that than I am willing to just buy a set of clear lenses. Any of you buy those repo lenses from Ebay? I didn't want to gamble yet on them and they not fit the housing correctly. Zedevan - are you looking for new lenses or complete units (orange) OEM? Also anyone have the part number to the split lense units?
  20. Hello everyone, I am looking for either jdm or audm turn signals left and right. I would love to get them complete with the harnesses or at least the front lenses only. Did the AU cars only come with clear lenses or did they also come with the one from the picture below? Any cars being parted out? Can also trade for any parts that may be needed. Thanks!

  22. Closest track to me is Lime Rock Park about 2 hours. Then you have New Jersey Motor Park about 2.5 hours. Also Poconos Speedway is about 2 hours away. The track I visit about twice a year is Watkins Glen which is about 4 hours away.

  25. Hello everyone. My name is Clive and I am the owner of 2 Z cars. My red 71 240z is named EVIL Z and has been my on going street/track car. She has a 2002 LS1/T56 swap with Wilwood goodies all the way around, along with adjustable control arms, sturts, coilovers and much more. I am now working on my white 74 260z also. I am in the middle of building a N/A 3L combo of bore out F54 block and a ported E31 head with the ad of triple Weber 45s.
