N42 head recently refreshed. Turned out cracked block was to blame and not head. Removed from block after 1 hour. Came from a running 1982 Patrol removed running well 6 weeks ago (converted to Rb25DE NEO). Will separate L28 and gearbox. Believe the 3 speed auto is the same as 240z auto. The model plate is barely readable below. Lots of good parts on L28. Oil pan is not compatable with Z car because the low end is at the back. I believe you can swap with z oil pan if you redril the oil pick to the back blank and tap and plug the front. Motor used a little oil when pulled but no smoking and revs cleanly to the red line. Complete with ps pump, working aircon pump, alternator and 280z exhaust manifold. Carby and points. May part out only if I can sell most of the parts. Looking for everything I need to upgrade my L28 to EFI. It's got a N42 head. Computer, harness manifold etc. Happy to swap or $. I have a complete L28 out of a '85 Patrol with compression down a little on no. 6 piston. Was running before I took it out. Happy to take apart. N42 head, starter, carby, dizzy etc. I'm in the South East Melbourne area.
