  1. Yep, had hit from the front. Those doglegs could come in handy, depends what the panel beater needs. Picked up a set of Mikuni's. 40's should be good for a standard L24? Got em of "biscuitballs" Can’t wait to see them on the motor. Hope I can get the body started soon.

  3. I now have the Z. Just got if of a good friend of mine, Dallas. Cheers mate. 1. Rust, will need some advice on who can help me in Canberra. Want to get started ASAP. The Good.
  4. Thanks mate. I have told myself it will be less than 30k, I will probably spend 30 though. I got a great deal. To begin with I will be running the L24, it has about 10,000 km on it since it was rebuilt. This way I can concentrate on the body and running gear. I can also take my time building a NA RB26. I got some really nice bits with the purchase. I can’t wait to start.

  11. Well, after lurking for a few months and absorbing as much Datsun as my work commitments will allow. I thought that it was time to introduce my self, and share my plans for the future. My name is Ray and I usually reside in Canberra I am a Photographer by trade. I have had various cars, most of them boring and sensible. VS Belina, Valiant CL Ute with a 265 Hemi, a Skyline GTST 2.0 (smashed, 6 weeks) back to the Ute, then a VW Golf 2.0 sport. I had plans for most of them but never the Money and the golf is not worth spending a cent on. I needed a car that would keep me happy for more than two years. I am not sure what it was, but I have made a decision. I must have one. I will be purchasing a Datsun 240z mid year, with initial upgrades to include Brakes (F & R Discs), Coilovers, Bushes, Sway bars, Rims, Rust repairs and a few interior upgrades. Engine upgrades will be further down the track. Initially I planed to go with, RB26 Individual Throttle Bodies and EFI on the freshened up L24. After creating an XL spreadsheet and working out price comparisons between the two, I think an RB 25 NA conversion will be the best option for my needs. This will be hopefully done in the first six months, after sorting out all the suspension and breaks I will be enjoying it for a while. Next stage will be a bare metal respray and chassis strengthening. Followed by ITBs, head work, balanced and lightened internals and the ability to rev…… Hope you are all having a great start to the year. Ray (AKA Chino).
