  1. so by proving that theres no high tension i decided to test the coil by putting volt meter into the coil. In which 12 volts came out when the ignition is turned. and no high tension is produced. ive tried ur method six but theres not enough voltage coming out of the coil. its like the coil doesnt exist and the current just flows.!!
  2. So I replaced the coil and condensor and I'm getting 12 volts through the coil when I turn the ignition on. But when cranked it still doesn't change to high voltage. Any suggestions?
  3. good points guys, well i bought a new coil today and will be getting a new condenser. so but enough power according to my manual to go to. hopefully if i change those things it should getup and running in no time. ill keep u all informed! =)
  4. i have actually 7v coming from the coil lead to the distributor. its points and not electronic...
  5. hey, i have been overseas and my L28 has been in storage. The engine turns over and the distributor is spinning and theres power to the coil. Yet theres no power coming from the distributor to the spark plugs. i have changed the distributor cap and the rotor arm. i have 8volts coming out of the coil but still nothing at the spark. any ideas??
  6. decided to give the old datsun a rise and shine and bring it out from being dead. put fresh fuel into the tank and turned the key..... engine ticks over but no ignition..... =( so opened up the carbs and cant find any fuel... looked at the floats dry as a whistle... was wondering if the fuel has evaporated in the rails and what the best way to unblock them would be? or if the fuel filter or pump has gone.. yet the pump is still making noises.. any ideas?? cheers

  12. true.. i still have a fair time to think about it but Ive been looking at British racing greens to Ferrari yellows..... i just don't know. i guess i have around 4 weeks to decide.
  13. hello, Ive been rubbing down my 260z and i am stuck on a colors for the respray. its current color is the factory light blue, but it is all bubbled and rusted. I really don't know what to get!!!! lots of people keep telling me to stick to the original color but im not too sure... What do you think?? tom
