  1. Guys Thank you all for the input. Looks like I'll go with the 2.5". Might try first without the resonator and see how I go with the drone. Can always add one later. Great to see so many enthusiast's out there, at least I'm not the only madman living and breathing Z's. Does it ever end ?? Hope not.. Cheers
  2. Thanks yet again. I think you've got me swaying to the 2.5 What do you feel about the resonator ?
  3. Thanks Scoota Do you mean the power was better on the 2 1/4 or Dales 2 1/2 Just wanna get it right..
  4. Hi all Just about to get a new exhaust system on my 260Z with a L28 EFI. No cataliyc convertor. Nothing to wild engine wise, mild cam, port/polished, larger throttle body. No extractors. Looking for a nice note with a bit of a growl if possible. Currently has 2" pipework, resonator (hot dog style) and a stainless steel muffler up at the rear,, sounds ok, but low down power is a little weak. Should I go 2" again or risk going 2.25" Will I gain or lose performance. And should I go for the resonator setup again as I believe the L series likes a bit of back pressure. I am finding a lot of differences of opinion in my searches. Any feedback appreciated.
  5. Thanks Simon Good reading. Hopefully I can find one around somewhere. Looks interesting Thanks again
  6. Hi all Wondering if anyone has come across a larger AFM for a 280zx. I have heard there were some on RX7's and some early BMW's ?? but cant find any around.. I am wanting to increase the air capacity into the Z, Just a bit of an experiment... cheers
  7. Thanks Zedman Ill have a look into this
  8. Hi all Anyone have any suggestions on a good coil to use on a 280 electronic ignition, just after the best spark I can get. I have been recommended a Bosch MEC723A any feedback ?? Motor has a A grade grind (so Ive been told) I have the original black bottle coil, and have no problem with it but looking to improve it if possible. Also if I do change to something with a bit more kick, would I open up the plug gap a bit ?? Sorry, silly questions, but thought I would approach the guys who have been through all of this before.. Cheers..
