there's a guy on hybridz that runs 9s on nos with simialr set up to what I'm after. he snapped his cv shaft after running like this for 3 years. another guy replied (that I've been in contact with) stating that he runs 10 sec and has never had a problem with cv as he ran a chromoly sleeve over them and welded them to the shaft and has had no problems to date. I'm building this car backyard as much as possible. probably everything but cage and possibly paint so live axle rear end is too expensive to pay for anf no way id tackle it myself. I have read a few people running 9s and a couple 8s on r230s so I'm gonna it that way I thinkt need an r230 and I can get started. btw I paid 100 bucks for my z body is straight no rust all original body etc. no engine though. sold it for 400 the guy then changed his mind and said I could keep the cash so I've made a profit on this project so far

I would need a whole custom undercarriage to fit that. it'd be ideal but I wouldn't even attempt it and don't know anybody in Perth who would. the only problems I'meing with my proposed set up is not being able to fit big drag tyres and the cvs would be the weak link. not sure what they handle but the diff being 9 1/4 inch should hold the power fine
