OK everyone - I pulled this rust bucket up the Clyde today and it is now at home ready to be cannibalised. All I need is diff, half shafts, companion flanges brake master, and I'll pull out the front struts and brakes to see it I want to use them.
The bonnet, 5 speed, fly, speedo cable are sold pending payment.
The good bits:
Glass is all there, except driver targa roof (there but broken).
Chrome looks fairly complete
Interior seems fairly intact
Mechanically looks all good. 250K on the clock, L28E doesn't leak and looks clean. Can't start as the dizzy cap is missing, but will compression test over the weekend.
Fuel injection setup all there
5 speed feels tight by the shifter
Rubber (seals etc.) fairly intact
there was a free TV in it!
Bad bits:
Rust. Coast car exposed the the elements.
Passengers door looks straight. Nothing else does, unless someone is feeling patient. The hatch was straight when I picked it up, but some clown has removed the bolts holding the top in, and it got caught by a gust of wind just short of braidwood and caused the damage you can see in the pic below.
