Currently Im looking at rebuilding a L28 out of a 280c (yes I know its the wrong character) which looks like it may need an over bore.
Its a N42 head on a F54 block which Im hoping should be an ok starting point.
While using the ozdat engine design utility to check potential compression ratios, I stared playing around with the following idea.
If I test the block thickness and its ok for a 3mm over bore, I thought I might run a KA24e piston on a l24 rod, giving a L30.
Upgrades to go with it would be a dedag of the ports, a L24 cam, probably some springs, and a KA24e oil pump, which I have.
My concern with this is other than the thickness of the block, I dont know if I will run into any other limitations which I need to measure/allow for.
Any help will be appreciated.
