From memory it was pretty decent... I couldnt give you the exact numbers but im pretty sure it averaged round the 180's. Gearbox is manual, it shifts fine, but it definitely doesnt feel new.. I put it in like that and drove it accordingly.. Its definitely got heaps of life left in it.. Just dont drop the clutch and abuse it. Starts straight away and idles great. There is only 1 problem with the engine, and thats a water leak.. I know its coming from the rear of the engine.. I thought it was the welch plug behind the gearbox which is why i built an entirely new engine (rb26/30). I knew it was leaking back there because coolant would drip out of the bellhousing. Since pulling it out.. The welch plug is fine.. And I've not done any further troubleshooting since.

Hi. Im selling my RB30 turbo that I've just pulled for my new engine. NA block (9:1 compression) with turbo. Located on Northern Beaches, Sydney. This is the engine sitting in the bay. Note, the bonnet will NOT close with this set up.. Blow through works great but get a side mount intake plenum like this.. The sump has been modified to fit a 280zx.. Its an RD28 sump. Pretty sure its a 7L sump.. It hangs rather low. The tailshaft has been modified to fit a 280zx. The ECU has a removable ROM chip so you can install Nistune. Comes with VL turbo injectors (250cc) Turbo is a T04e (good condition, minimal shaft play) The engine uses r31 skyline engine mounts. The r31 (RP71C) gearbox uses the STOCK 280zx manual gearbox crossmember/mount. Im looking for $1,500. All serious offers considered.

I have an almost complete set up that im considering selling either as a whole or some parts individually. As a whole; - F54 Block. +1mm overbored. Casting flash removed - Forged 87mm JE Pistons (Altered 3mm pin height to match rods) - Forged 240z conrods - ARP Head studs, Main studs & Rod bolts - Performance rod & bearing shells - Stock L28 Crank - Stock NA De-Webbed Intake Manifold - Stock Turbo Exhaust Manifold (appears to be brand new) - N42 Head. w/ porting & deburring (appears to have had a valve job) - Performance cam (Unknown grind. No engine builders have been able to tell me what it is) I have some other bits; - L28 distributor - L28 oil pump (used) - L28 water pump (used) - L28 to Z32 transmission adaptor (appears to be billet and powdercoated, from memory either the engine or bellhousing requires light machining) - Z32 transmission (unknown history, purchased from a bloke cleaning out his shed. its a fairly large monster. No clutch/flywheel. The engine needs a few things to be complete.. Like a new water pump and perhaps high perf oil pump. I was intending to run a z31 ECU and fuel injection system and was figuring it out as I went along. This is a project that I have no use for any more. My current rb30 power-plant has appeared to start leaking from the engines gearbox bellhousing welch plug. I am going to assemble a new rb30det and I need my engine stand back. I have very little time to screw around so please dont waste either of our time. All serious offers will be considered.

Block is F54, Head is N42. Engine - 200$ Head - 200$ Gearbox - 150$ (Id prefer to sell the engine & head together so I dont have to pull it apart.) Or PM me with an offer. Ill be chucking all of this up onto Ebay very soon otherwise with the aboves at starting bid. Cheers.

Was running completely fine when I pulled it. Been in storage since. If anyone is interested ill check if the head is N42 or N47. I'd put up photos but id assume you all know what an L28 & 5 speed looks like. edit - Location information might be helpful. >_> edit - Block is F54, Head is N42. Cheers for the responses guys! I managed to find the LHS s12+8, and i found a pair of s12w as well. Need to find out if the extra weight is worth it for the larger 2nd piston O_o Sorted out the block with 240zr as well!
